Free Time, Warehousing and Abandoned Cargo
- Free Time Period - Each item will be given five (5) labor days at no charge for the warehouse storage period. This period will be computed based on the receiving date at our warehouse facilities in Cataño. Items maintained at our warehouse after this period will be subject to warehousing charges.
- Warehousing Charges - Monthly storage charges will be assessed per standard pallet space.
- Abandoned Cargo - Cargo sitting in our warehouse with upon unpaid warehousing charges will be considered abandoned cargo. An initial notice and invoice will be sent to the consignee/cargo owner immediately at the end of the free period asking for payment. After thirty days (30) of the first notice, we will send a second and final notice/invoice, extending an additional 30 days. If no response or payment is received after a sixty-day (60) period, Sea Air Systems, Inc. will dispose of merchandise at their convenience.
